The easiest way to add to their current diet is to re-hydrate their kibble with a bone broth it is a cheaper way to add a lot of nutrients and can decreases the chances of bloat in larger breed or deeper chested dogs. The best way to do this is to purchase a powdered bone broth as this will keep for longer and is more affordable than pre-made bone broth. Adding certain fruits and vegetables to their meals adds anti-oxidants, can help with gut health and are a good source of vitamins and fibre. The best fruit and vegetables to add to your dogs diet are:

Blueberries: These are full of antioxidants and cancer fighting properties. antioxidants can help with neuron's within a dogs brain enabling their memory to stay strong as they age.

Broccoli: Lightly steamed broccoli is filled with lots of important vitamins including Vitamin C and K. It can help boost your dogs immune system and increase their bone density.
Apple: Apples provide Vitamin C, Vitamin A and potassium. they are also a good source of antioxidants and fibre. The peel also contains fibre which can help regulate your dog.
Outside of fruit and vegetables there are supplements, oils and even some herbs or spices that can be added to your dogs diet to improve their health.
Salmon Oil: this is a wonder-trio of fatty acids, Omega 3, 6 and 9. These are beneficial to your dogs body and mind. They promote healthier skin and coat quality, improved heart health, and they boost their immune system.
